who we are
material mix is a group of artists and academics exploring phenomena of social
and material life. committed to an postcolonial approach our works are placed within the flux of life. believing in the variety of human lifeworlds (Lebenswelten),together, we want to create, recreate and retell forms of knowledge, experience, and emotions.
what we do
we develop innovative forms of communication between scientific knowledge
and social interests, working with different media such as photography, film and audio; and a range of formats such as documentary, podcast, performance, publication, workshop, installation and exhibition.
we worked on projects and exhibitions with museums, cultural centres and universities in Mexico, United Kingdom, Austria and Germany.
